Our Eco-Lodge:

The lodge’s cabins have been designed to exist in complete harmony with this unspoilt environment. They are made from wood and thatched with woven leaves, and are fully screened to protect occupants from insects.

Each bed is protected by a mosquito net and the cabins all have a private bathroom with running water. Beverages and snacks are available 24 hours a day from the dining room and bar. The food served combines forest products with more international fare.

The lodge maintains 25 km of well-marked forest trails, most of which are circular, beginning and ending at the lodge, and guests are welcome to explore them during their leisure time.

Recognition for our Eco-Lodge:

On March 24th 2006, the Libertador Tambopata Eco-Lodge was classed as one of the best establishments of its type by the Cusco Regional Board of Industry and Tourism, in recognition of its exhaustive work in the field of ecotourism in the Madre de Dios region, achieving the distinction of being the first rainforest lodge to comply with the parameters which define the category Eco-Lodge.

Services
Transport is by boats protected from both sun and rain by a roof and side closures. Boat seats have back rests and seat cushions for greater comfort.

Stationed at the lodge are a number of experienced naturalist guides who are there to introduce you to the wonders of the rainforest and to answer your many questions during your walks and while travelling on the rivers and lakes. In the evenings we hold brief conferences focusing on aspects of the tropical rainforest.

A trail to the stream behind the cabin clearing leads to nearby Gallocunca stream, which is an excellent place to swim.
